Welcome MC

Divisional Secretary Report DC

DC spoke about fine money collected, and the ease of sending in results for games. This can be done by taking a photo of the score card or score board and emailing or Whats App messaging it to DC. 

He also mentioned the great job SE has done in organising the fixtures across all leagues (City, Charity, Glos Ladies league, Stroud). 

Treasurers Report WC

WC mentioned the state of the GCSL bank account and that we are in a much healthier position than in previous years. 

Competitions Report AH 

AH congratulated the Winners & Runners Up in all competitions and encouraged more teams to enter the FP comp next season. 

Discussion Points MC

1. Accounts 

MC told the members about the outcome of the court case with the former Treasurer of the City League Mr B Fisher. He also updated everyone around the sum of money deposited into the City bank account (£3,800) for trophies that were not used anymore. New bands were put on all trophies to fall inline with new league structure, and a roll of honour has been put on the website to recognise former winners and runners up. 

2. Payment of winnings from 2021-22

Steve Gregory (Cobblers) raised this issue, and with the accounts looking more healthy, could it be voted on to see if monies could now be paid for that season. This was voted for. WC then paid former winners. 

3. Postponement of games 

Steve Gregory (Cobblers) asked if we could vote on whether or not one game could be postponed pre Xmas and post Xmas to stop teams giving walkovers to other teams. This was voted against and the current system kept in place. 

4. Away Team Balls 

K Price (Hempsted CC) put the the league that away team balls could be used in games if required. This was voted against. 

5. Points system

S Lloyd & K Mortimer (Lion Cubs) requested that the league vote on a different points system for the league. Points per leg was the major change. This was voted against. 

6. A N Other rule

Mark Trotman (Walls Top Tens) asked for this to be scrapped, as it was brought in after Covid in 2021. This was voted against. 

Election of Officers 

All Officers were voted back in on block.

MC asked any members if they have any sets of balls they no longer require to please contact him.
